About reduction printing
A reduction linocut is made from a single block. After each color is printed, more of the block is carved away to print the next one — so by the time the final color is pulled, the block that made the earlier layers no longer exists. The block for this print has been fully reduced and cannot be reprinted. This edition of 10 is complete and final.
What to expect
Every impression is pulled by hand, so slight variation in ink coverage and registration exists between prints in the edition. This is characteristic of hand printing rather than a defect, and no two impressions are perfectly identical.
Care
Display away from direct sunlight; UV-filtering glazing is recommended for long-term display. Ships flat, protected by board in a rigid mailer.
